Road Transport Forum New Zealand is the authoritative voice of the road transport
industry in New Zealand. It was created as a national body in 1997 to responsibly
promote and advance the interest of the road transport industry and its member road
transport operators. Its aim is to help build a New Zealand in which the industry,
and the businesses and communities it serves, can grow and prosper.
The Forum also exists to build wider public awareness and understanding of the
contribution road transport makes to the lives of all New Zealanders. Over 80 percent of commercial road transport operators in New Zealand are members
of the Forum. It acts for everyone involved in the industry: owner drivers, fleet
operators, in-house road transport operators and suppliers of goods and services to
the road transport industry, regardless of size, location or type of business. Operators automatically become members of the Forum by joining any of the Forum’s
seven constituent associations servicing the needs of operators
throughout the country. Our Purpose
The Forum exists to:

- Maintain regular communications with members to hear and understand their views and aspirations
